Capital Entrepreneurs Releases 2013 Recap

Capital Entrepreneurs‘ member companies raked in $28 million in revenue in 2013, according to the organization’s year-end summary.

In addition, Wisconsin startup companies raised more than $150 million of venture capital in 2013, with Madison tech startups raising $44 million in funding alone.

Meanwhile, Capital Entrepreneurs grew to almost 300 members. The creation of 100 new jobs in the Madison area brought the total number of founders or early-stage employees to more than 350.

In the area of events, the annual Forward Technology Festival drew more than 2,200 participants. Capital Entrepreneurs hosted the inaugural Madison Startup Fair and co-hosted “Wisconsin Startup Night: TechStars in Madison,” which included an appearance by Match.com CEO Sam Yagan.
