Company Profile: Prepster

Whether you are looking for tips regarding writing your resume, updating your LinkedIn profile, looking for a job or even looking for employees, Prepster can help.

Prepster’s mission is “reinventing your first impression,” which encapsulates the idea that anyone can move in a new direction at any point in a career.

“It’s a great feeling to know that you can move into a new career field, yet still carry all your previous experience with you at the same time,” Prepster Founder Heidi Duss said. “We reinvent people’s careers in new and dynamic ways. It’s more than a job search, it’s an opportunity to take ownership of one’s dreams.”

Duss, who has more than 10 years of experience working in a variety of areas such as staffing, human resources, campus outreach and project work, launched Prepster this year when she decided to expand her previous company from its focus of writing resumes, noting that she had “much more to offer potential clients.”

Those expanded services now include employment search services and making professional connections. With Prepster, clients choose the areas with which they need help so that they are able to find the best career match for them. As the sole full-time employee, Duss provides personalized service to each client.

Prepster is currently working to expand to recruiting, project work and internship program development for businesses. For example, Prepster will find candidates for job openings in Madison-area companies, Duss said.
