The City of Fitchburg used its annual Business Appreciation Luncheon, which took place today at the BioPharmaceutical Technology Center, to unveil its new logo and brand.

The new logo symbolizes life, growth and prosperity and was designed to connect all city services. Mark Schmitz, owner of Zebradog, spearheaded the effort.

Paul Jadin, who recently resigned his post as head of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to take over Thrive, spent his entire keynote speech to talk about his accomplishments as mayor of Green Bay.  However, when asked a question about the area’s strengths, Jadin said “education is always a leader.”

Shawn Pfaff, mayor of Fitchburg, expressed his excitement for the upcoming Uptown subdivision development between Fish Hatchery Road and US Hwy 14. Construction for Phase I began in August.
