gener8tor’s Summer Class Begins

by Brian Lee

Five startups were selected from more than 250 applications to participate in gener8tor‘s 2013 Summer Program, the organization announced Thursday.

“(The program) consists of some of the most innovative startups from around the country,” Troy Vosseller, co-founder of gener8tor, said in a statement. “We’re really looking forward to helping these companies grove and achieve their full potential.

OpenHomes is the only Madison-based company. It uses technology to connect home buyers and sellers as well as help real estate agents serve their clients better and more efficiently.

Three other companies–Catalyze.IO (Milwaukee), Docalytics (Minneapolis) and Optyn (Chicago)–are from the Midwest. DeckPresenter hails from Austin, Texas.

During the 12-week program, which begins today, each startup receives mentorship, networking opportunities and some capital. The founders then pitch their company to the community and investors at gener8tor’s Aug. 12 Launch Day.
