by Brian Lee

After 14 beta versions, Drifty today announced the release of Ionic 1.0.0, nicknamed Uranium-Unicorn.

“This is such an important milestone for all of us here on the team,” Co-Founder Ben Sperry said in a blog post. “Ionic has truly become a force to be reckoned with.”

Features of version 1.0.0 include native scrolling, improved keyboard support and improved Windows Phone support.

Drifty also announced recently that it is partnering with IBM. According to a release, business users can use IBM MobileFirst Platform to prototype apps in minutes, thanks in part to an integration with Ionic.

“Teaming with IBM benefits our customers by expanding engagement with enterprise business users who don’t need a technical background to access the integration and quality assurance capabilities necessary to develop high quality apps,” Drifty’s other co-founder, Max Lynch, said in a statement. “With close to 1 million developers using Ionic, we have a rapidly expanding base of users who understand the value of open standards to increase velocity around mobile innovation.”
