WARF Seeks to Jump-Start Promising Research

by Brian Lee

The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation will be hosting its second annual Discovery Challenge with the goal of helping young scientists take their research into the real world.

University of Wisconsin graduate students and postdoctoral researchers will compete for four cash prizes of $500 at a research symposium on May 20. Participants also will be eligible for a $5,000 research grant.

To help contestants learn more about developing a collaborative research program and prepare to present, WARF is offering several workshops, including “Presenting your research to public audiences.”

More information on entering the Discovery Challenge can be found on WARF’s website.
