Wellbe and Kiio today announced they are teaming up to provide hospitals with customizable, automated rehab exercises, effective immediately.

According to a release, patients seeking joint replacement physical therapy can experience a continuum of care through Wellbe’s pre-hab and rehab exercises, which may now include Kiio’s FLEX software that contains more than 1,500 therapist-certified exercise templates.

“Recent research published at a prominent orthopedic surgeon meeting showed that therapist prescribed in-home exercise routines are highly effective when adhered to,” Wellbe CEO James Dias said in a statement. “Collaborating with Kiio allows us to offer the market a best-of-breed hybrid solution for hospitals looking to reduce their costs for post-acute care in value-based payment models.”

A spokesperson for Wellbe said that Kiio FLEX will be offered to existing customers “where we see a fit, but it is not automatic and additional investment is required by the client to add it.”
