Mobile22, which through its platform focuses on connecting taxi providers and riders, launched earlier this month with its first partner, Green Cab of Madison.
According to a release, the company’s software helps cab companies dispatch their vehicles more quickly and accurately. Meanwhile, consumers have an “Uber-like” mobile app to book local cabs and receive fare estimates.
“We believe the future of mobility is a shared ecosystem,” Mobile22 Founder Shree Kalluri said in a statement. “Shared mobility gives consumers greater flexibility at a lower cost, while reducing their carbon footprint. And we believe taxi providers are going to play a major role in this.”
Mobile22, which supports on-demand, scheduled, shared and direct rides, will look to add regional taxi partners across the country.
Kalluri also is the CEO of Zerology, whose parent company purchased Green Cab earlier this year.
