JETZ Farm LLC, which makes pickles, produce, preserves and more, won the annual Madison College Challenge held Friday online.
The Dane, Wis.-based company run by Leah Arndt beat out nine other finalists to win $3,000. Truck Yeah LLC placed second ($2,000), and Loyal Hearts LLC took third ($1,000).
“This year’s competition was one of the best we have had in nearly a decade of running the Challenge,” Madison College Center for Entrepreneurship Executive Director Bryan Woodhouse said. “The diversity of ideas and quality of both preparation and presentation were outstanding. This year’s competition was a good testament to the entrepreneurial spirit that exists within Madison College.”
The competition was open to any credit or non-credit student enrolled in a course between 2018-20 who was not a past Madison College Challenge finalist.
Individuals from WWBIC, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, MGE and Summit Credit Union served as the judges.
