Scanalytics, an innovator in smart flooring and building intelligence solutions, has been acquired by East West Manufacturing, the company announced recently.

According to a release, the acquisition will combine East West’s global design, manufacturing, supply chain and distribution expertise with Scanalytics’ proprietary hardware and software technologies, positioning East West to deliver first-of-its-kind smart flooring solutions at scale across professional and consumer markets.

“Scanalytics was founded on a straightforward belief that giving buildings a brain-like ability to perceive and learn from real activity could unlock a step-change in efficiency, safety, and experience,” Scanalytics CEO and Co-Founder Joe Scanlin said in a statement. “With East West’s ability to scale manufacturing globally, we can reach more commercial and residential buildings faster, delivering measurable energy savings, safer operations and healthier occupant experiences.”

Scanalytics, which was founded in 2013, will retain its brand and operate as a product division of East West.

East West is headquartered in Atlanta.
