The Doyenne Group announced recently that its board of directors has decided to shut down the organization.

“As Doyenne steps away, I hope you’ll remain connected to the entrepreneurs at the heart of our mission—as well as the organizations continuing to support them across Wisconsin and beyond,” Doyenne Group Executive Director Carole Chabries said in an e-newsletter. “Thank you for believing in Doyenne’s work, showing up for this community and helping us build something bigger than ourselves.”

Since it opened in 2012, the organization has helped more than 5,000 entrepreneurs, primarily women and marginalized gender(s), through training, education and support. Offerings included the Triple Threat Venture Training program, the 5x5x5 pitch event and the Evergreen Fund. 

Amy Gannon and Heather Wentler founded the Doyenne Group. The organization will respond to any email correspondence until Sept. 30.
