The University of Wisconsin announced recently that it rose nine spots to No. 18 in PitchBook’s newest report that ranks universities by the number of alumni entrepreneurs who have raised venture capital in the last decade.

According to the report, UW has seen 802 graduates raise a total of $50.2 billion in venture capital.

University of California – Berkeley topped the list with 2,380 entrepreneurs who have raised $139.4 billion.

Other Big Ten schools listed were the University of Michigan (No. 8) and the University of Illinois (No. 11).
