HealthX Ventures announced recently that it led the $2 million investment in Vinyl Health, a health technology company using ambient AI to help people record, understand and share their own health information.

Located in Marlton, N.J., Vinyl Health will use the funds to support its broader public launch and continued development of its personal health assistant.

“Vinyl is addressing a major gap in healthcare: the patient’s ability to record, understand, manage, and share their own health information,” HealthX Ventures Managing Partner Mark Bakken said in a statement. “By using AI to document the visit, Vinyl allows patients to be more present in the conversation with their doctor instead of worrying about remembering every detail. That creates a stronger, more informed relationship between patients and clinicians.”

The financing reinforces HealthX Ventures’ focus on backing digital health companies that make healthcare more efficient, accessible and affordable.
