OpenHomes Nets $180K in Seed Capital

OpenHomes announced today it raised $180,000 in seed funding for marketing and software development.

According to a release, the round included participation from CSA Partners, Angels on the Water, Mark Bakken of Nordic Consulting, gener8tor and several other angel investors.

“We’re gratified that investors recognize the value of our platform and our potential for growth in an industry that is ripe for disruption,” CEO and Founder Kelda Roys said in a statement. “This round will enable us to delight even more homebuyers and sellers with cutting edge technology and incredible service.”

The OpenHomes platform allows home buyers to save money in the home-buying process by doing tasks such as making offers and scheduling showings online rather than through a traditional agent.

OpenHomes, a 2013 summer graduate of gener8tor’s accelerator program, currently serves Southern Wisconsin and Door County.
