AkitaBox Lands $50K Investment

BrightStar Wisconsin Foundation today announced that it has invested $50,000 in software startup AkitaBox.

Participants of the gener8tor accelerator program with permanent employees in Wisconsin receive the investment; AkitaBox graduated in November 2015.

“We are gratified to have been able to add (this company) to our portfolio in the final month of 2015,” BrightStar Portfolio Manager Todd Sobotka said in a statement. “We look forward to discovering many more Wisconsin early-stage investment opportunities and hope to make $2 million in new investments in 2016.”

AkitaBox collects information on building equipment to set maintenance reminders and budget for replacements.
