The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation named Dr. James Berbee its Chair of the Board of Trustees, the organization announced recently.

Berbee, who was elected to the board in 2012, is the founder of Berbee Information Networks Corporation, which was acquired by CDW in 2006.

“Jim brings an extraordinary perspective as an entrepreneur and humanitarian,” WARF Managing Director Erik Iverson said in a statement. “His dedication to UW-Madison and to the welfare of our community is remarkable. We look forward to his leadership of the WARF Board.”

Berbee previously served as Vice Chair. He succeeds Peter Tong, who will remain a Trustee.
