A biomedical device that monitors fertility won the 2015 Governor’s Business Plan Contest, the Wisconsin Technology Council announced Wednesday at the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference at the Alliant Energy Center.

BluDiagnostics Fertility Finder, based in Madison, analyzes salivary hormones and displays the information on an app.

“It’s an incredible honor,” CEO Katie Brenner said. “I wouldn’t be here without the incredible team around me. I’m proud to be a part of the (entrepreneurial) ecosystem we have here in Wisconsin.”

BluDiagnostics also was the winner of the Life Sciences category. Other category winners were Intelligent Composites (Advanced Manufacturing), 65 Incorporated (Information Technology) and Hunt Butler (Business Services).

Brenner and her team beat a field of 238 entries and win cash and in-kind services.
