A panel of four experts in topics ranging from digital health to venture capital will kick off the Wisconsin Entrepreneurs’ Conference, organizers announced today.

According to a release, Mark Bakken of HealthX Ventures; Dr. Frank Byrne, the former president of St. Mary’s Hospital; Dr. Sanaz Cordes of Healthfinch, a Madison-based digital health firm; and Ben Robbins, who focuses on digital health investments for Google Ventures in Boston, will be on a panel titled, “Driving Quality up and Costs Down: Health IT in the Age of Accountability” taking place at 8:45 a.m. June 2.

“Along with other hot-spots in Wisconsin, the Madison area has become a hub for health technologies, especially health information,” Wisconsin Technology Council President Tom Still said in a statement. “We’re seeing innovation from a range of health IT, device and products companies that will help save lives and money, while improving delivery and quality of care.”

The two-day conference will center on “Nurturing Entrepreneurial Roots” and will take place at the Alliant Energy Center.
