GrocerKey has raised $2.5 million to scale its grocery e-commerce platform, the company announced recently.

According to a release, Woodman’s Markets led the financing round, with participation from customer data science company dunnhumby Ventures as well as Midwest angel investors.

“Receiving the support of prominent industry players like Woodman’s and dunnhumby validates our strategy of delivering profitable digital solutions to grocery retailers,” GrocerKey Founder Jeremy Neren said in a statement. He also noted revenue increased by nearly 500 percent.

GrocerKey’s platform is used in all 16 of Woodman’s regional stores.

To date, GrocerKey has raised $4.2 million in investments.
