A cat carrier with its own slide-out litter box inside won the 14th annual Madison College Challenge held today at Madison College’s Truax Campus.
KittyGo was founded by Olivia Wegner based on her own difficulties traveling with her cat. Her business idea was selected over seven other finalists to win $5,000.
“Being able to solve this problem for myself and for other cat owners and being able to share it with the world is amazing,” Wegner said. “It’s an incredible feeling.”
Fly High CI LLC placed second ($3,000), and Clean Eyes Detailing took third ($2,000).
The competition was open to any credit or non-credit student who had not already been a Madison College Challenge finalist.
Individuals from Madison Gas & Electric, Summit Credit Union, Clearly Building Corp., Findorff and StartingBlock Madison served as judges.
