by Taylor Kennedy

Nine Madison College teams presented virtually their business opportunities in the 8th annual Madison College Challenge, held Friday, May 22.

Due to COVID-19, the Challenge was not held in person, and no winner was selected.

The finalists were Adama Sawadogo’s Learning Center International, Bradley Burt’s Outpost 422, Emay Ulaney’s UlanWay, Jennifer Hefferan’s Big Life Solutions, Jerad Lensmire’s Rig Tech, Marly Thao’s Emettee Consulting, Michael Flunker and LeAnn Kestler’s Find Your New Favorite, Rosalie Bjelde’s Volt Greenhouse and Sadiq Wanyaka’s Error Q&A System.

Judges evaluated students on how far they came from an idea to a potential business and how well the plan was articulated in written and verbal form.

The students had seven weeks of online coaching.
