2023 Madison College Challenge

Sparx Career Planning, which is a platform that helps high school and college students transition to adulthood, won the 11th annual Madison College Challenge held today at Madison College’s Truax Campus.

The company was founded by Tylor Brackett and Kiyem Obuseh, who beat out six other finalists to win $4,000.

“It’s nice to see the validation–that people are supportive of this idea,” Obuseh said.

ProPumpkins placed second ($2,000), and Kefir Delight took third ($1,500).

The competition was open to any credit or non-credit student that has not already been a Madison College Challenge finalist.

Individuals from Madison Gas & Electric, Summit Credit Union, Clearly Building Corp. and Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation served as judges.

Editor’s note: our editor-in-chief served as a mentor to several of the finalists.
