Two local businesses were winners in the Hy-Vee OpportUNITY Inclusive Business Summit, held last week at the Monona Terrace.

Madison’s Yips Snacks was awarded a first-place prize of $5,000 in the Food and Beverage category, while Luscious Beauty was named one of two Judge’s Choice Winners and was given a smaller cash prize.

As previously reported, the summit included a pitch competition in which 13 companies from Wisconsin and surrounding states presented to a panel of judges and more than 200 event attendees. The categories included FAVORYT Brand, Innovation & Technology and Health, Wellness and Beauty.

Nerdbugs also participated in the pitch competition.
