The Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation announced recently that it is seeking projects that focus on any aspect of electrification to enter its challenge for a chance to earn a grant from a $100,000 pool.

“Electrification is crucial to meeting the world’s future energy needs and decarbonizing the economy,” WARF CEO Erik Iverson said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to identify and support UW-Madison innovators rising to the challenge of climate change and affordable energy.”

Projects, which can span software to electric vehicles to batteries to energy generation, must have a principal investigator from the UW-Madison or Morgridge Institute for Research.

Teams are invited to submit a brief disclosure form and questionnaire by April 1.
