WARF Discovery Challenge Accepting Applications

The WARF Discovery Challenge is now accepting entries from University of Wisconsin graduate students and post-doctoral researchers from all departments for the two-part research competition, organizers announced recently.

The deadline to enter Part I: Research Symposium, which brings researchers together to exchange ideas and identify potential cross-disciplinary collaborators, is Feb. 19. Participants will compete for $2,000 in prizes.

Part II: Research Award Competition will combine of teams of scientists to submit original research ideas and take place this fall.

Darryl Wesener won last year for his proposal on “Recognition of Non-Mammalian Glycan Epitopes by Human Intelectin.”
